John A. Barker joined The Kresge Foundation in 2007 and is a managing director of the foundation’s Investment Office. Previously, he was an assistant investment director at the University of Notre Dame’s investment office. John earned a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame and is credentialed by the CFA Institute as a chartered financial analyst. He serves on several nonprofit boards, including the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, the investment subcommittee of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, and the advisory board for Forgotten Harvest.
