LANSING, MI – Exit Quotient Ventures, an up-and-coming venture capital firm dedicated to supporting early-stage companies in Michigan and across the Midwest, proudly announces the addition of Jillian Lorenz as a Venture Partner. Jillian, a Michigan State University alumna and seasoned entrepreneur, brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of driving business growth and innovation.
Jillian is best known as the co-founder of The Barre Code, a fitness franchise that was founded in 2010 that quickly elevated to national recognition. Her leadership in transforming an innovative concept into a national brand underscores her deep understanding of strategic growth, franchise operations, and community-building—a perspective that will be invaluable to Exit Quotient’s mission of nurturing high-potential startups in the Midwest ecosystem.
“Jillian’s entrepreneurial journey and passion for fostering innovation align perfectly with our goal to empower founders and their ventures,” said Broc W. Edwards, Managing Partner at Exit Quotient Ventures. “Her experience as a founder who has navigated the challenges of scaling and successfully exiting a business is a powerful asset for the startups we support.”
Exit Quotient Ventures focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage companies, leveraging a network of knowledgeable advisors and partners to provide both capital and strategic guidance. Jillian’s expertise complements the fund’s commitment to supporting founder-led growth with industry-agnostic, geographic focused investments. Her appointment reflects Exit Quotient’s dedication to integrating diverse leadership perspectives to drive transformative change.
“I’m excited to join a team that shares my dedication to elevating founders and their startups,” said Jillian Lorenz. “Together, we can amplify opportunities for innovative founders and contribute to a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
Jillian earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, and her Spartan roots remain central to her professional philosophy. Just this month she was invited back as a keynote commencement speaker and received an honorary Doctorate in Business from the university.
