[Bloomfield Hills, MI] – June 28, 2023 – Angela Heflin, Associate Director of the Michigan Venture Capital Association (MVCA) has left the organization to pursue other opportunities.

“We thank Angela for her work and achievement within the organization,” said Ara Topouzian, Executive Director of MVCA. “We wish her the best of luck in her next opportunity.”

During Angela’s three-year tenure at MVCA, she reorganized and reconciled the organization’s financials in order to provide an increased clarity for the Board of Directors and Executive Director, as well as helped manage the day-to-day office operations before and during the COVID pandemic.

At MVCA, Angela also worked with the Board of Directors, MVCA committees, and stakeholders across the state in various capacities, successfully organizing all MVCA networking events including the organization’s signature event, MVCA’s Annual Awards Dinner. Additionally, she facilitated grant and sponsorship management as well as the creation of marketing assets used to promote events that enabled a cohesive ecosystem in Michigan.

In 2022 and 2023, Angela led the efforts to overhaul MVCA’s annual Research Report, working alongside team consultants as well as conducting surveys and data analysis that ultimately created a new look and focus for the report.
