Woodward Angels activates early stage, founder friendly investment capital for high-growth startups in and around Detroit. We invest in tech and digitally scaling companies at the pre-seed and seed stage, and invest our time and energy in helping those companies succeed.

Birmingham Angels was established in 2019 with a core vision to change the way early-stage capital is deployed in the state of Michigan. We assert that every successful startup ecosystem around the world is based on the following three principles, the density of resources and activities, access to early-stage capital, and velocity of capital deployment.

Commune Angels invest in high-growth, early-stage startups in Michigan and across the United States. We focus on pre-seed and seed stage investments, and fund companies raising on a note, SAFE or preferred stock round. We invest in a wide range of market sectors, including software, consumer products, and life sciences.

Michigan Angel Fund provides funding to capital-efficient early-stage companies located in Michigan. The fund works closely with other stakeholders in the Michigan entrepreneurial ecosystem to ensure that it invests in the most promising companies and to ensure the future success of those companies and its investments.

Grand Angels empowers entrepreneurs in West Michigan and the Great Lakes Region with capital, mentorship, and resources, fostering community growth while achieving meaningful returns for our members. We are one of the five angel groups support by Michigan Capital Network.
